The Atlanta Falcons have officially agreed to terms with free agent wide receiver Laquon Treadweall.
Treadwell, 24, was selected by the Minnesota Vikings with the 23rd-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. In his four seasons with the Vikings, Treadwell appeared in 53 games and made 16 starts. He caught 65 passes for 701 yards and two touchdowns while playing for Minnesota.

A standout in his college career at Ole Miss, Treadwell was among the best receivers in the country during his junior season in 2015 when he caught 82 passes for 1,153 yards and 11 touchdowns. During his three-year college career, Treadwell caught 202 passes for 2,393 yards and 21 touchdowns.
The Falcons have one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL with Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley set to return. The emergence of Russell Gage as the team's third receiver after Atlanta traded Mohamed Sanu to the New England Patriots was encouraging for the future. Treadwell will likely compete for a spot in the receiver mix during training camp and the preseason, and he will provide even more depth to the group.
